Questions about interior painting

What does interior painting include?
Essentially everything you want painted or lacquered inside your home: walls and ceilings, doors and frames, stairs, radiators and wall panelling. I can also help with colour advice if you are unsure.
What is your approach?
I work with quality paint from brands like Sikkens and Sigma. Before I start, I cover everything neatly and tape off all edges. After sanding and priming, I apply at least two coats. I work tidily, clean up every day and leave your home the way I would want mine.
How long does interior painting take?
That depends on the job. An average living room (walls + ceiling) takes 2-3 days. Frames and doors are done per unit, usually half a day per door. I always give you a realistic timeline upfront.
Do I need to empty the room?
Not completely. I move furniture to the centre and cover everything properly. It does help if fragile items and paintings are put aside.
What paint do you use?
I work with professional paint from Sikkens and Sigma. For walls I use matte latex, for woodwork high-gloss or semi-gloss depending on your preference. I am happy to advise you.
How much does interior painting cost?
That varies per job. It depends on the surface area, the condition of the woodwork or walls and whether prep work is needed. I always come to look first and then give you an honest quote. No surprises afterwards.
Can I stay in my house during the painting work?
Yes, absolutely. I work room by room, so you always have a place to sit. I make sure everything is properly covered and tidy up at the end of each day.
